Dearest Gentle Reader,

Since Bridgerton premiered in 2020, my brides and grooms have been reaching out to me all with the big question: "Can you play Bridgerton music for my wedding?"

Yes, yes, and absolutely yes! That's exactly what we do!

Meet Your Wedding Musicians

Hi, I'm Ariana, lead violinist and founder of Ariana Strings. As Connecticut wedding musicians who have performed for over 650 weddings and special events over the last 15 years, we've been performing modern pop string covers since before Bridgerton ever existed. I'd like to think of us as on trend.

Before you read on, click play to have our classical cover of Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift to accompany our deep dive into Bridgerton wedding music. It’s from the time the British Consulate commissioned us to create a bespoke string orchestra for the actual Queen of England - It doesn’t get more Bridgerton than that! Today, I'll be covering which songs are in Bridgerton, how you can incorporate Bridgerton into your wedding music, common pitfalls, and showcasing inspiration from our incredible Bridgerton-themed styled wedding shoot, featuring Allure Bridals’ brand new Bridgerton bridal collection.

What made Bridgerton so exciting and unique was the soundtrack. It was all performed by real, professional classical musicians, mostly Vitamin String Quartet - an LA-based company that does arrangements of all modern pop hits. But they've featured a few other wonderful groups on the show as well.

Not only do the Ariana Strings musicians specialize in performing modern pop string songs, it's our favorite thing to do. We have a huge library filled with everything you can imagine. Are you looking for Bridgerton music for your wedding? We've got you covered.

Which Of Your Wedding Ensembles Play Bridgerton Music?

All of our ensembles have a variety of pop string covers, but if you're specifically looking for that Bridgerton sound, you'll want our string quartet or even string orchestra. It's the fullest sound and will be the most like those pop string arrangements you know and love.

Our smaller groups have something up their sleeve too, so if a violin duet or string trio is more your style, we've got you covered. Check out each of the custom song libraries here.

Right now, we've added your most requested to our 2000+ song string quartet library. Want more? Email Ariana with your request. We'll make it happen.

A Note On TV Soundtracks

Though the Bridgerton soundtrack is often performed by string quartet, NOT ALL OF the songs featured in Bridgerton are played by string quartet. In fact, they’re beautifully edited in-studio and feature layerings of many, many instruments. (Max Richter’s Spring Recomposed is one of our number one requests and it’s actually written for 18 instruments!)

Check Out My Cover Of "Strange" By Celeste

Fun fact: It looks like I'm accompanied by only 3 violins, but I'm actually accompanied by 6 instruments: 3 violins and 3 violas. This was a passion project during lockdown that I hope you enjoy!

The Ariana Strings Music Library

Every single song in our music library is arranged and tailored especially for our strings. That means you're getting a beautiful instrumental cover that truly compliments the original song and artist no matter which of our ensembles you choose. In our library, you can find:

Jazz standards and popular hits from 1930- 1950

La Vie En Rose, Fly Me to the Moon, Call Me Irresponsible, Bewitched

Disney favorites from across the ages

A Whole New World from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Love is an Open Door from Frozen

60s pop

At Last, Chapel of Love, Be My Baby by The Ronettes

Disco

How Deep is Your Love by The Bee Gees, Dancing Queen by ABBA

Classic rock from the 1960s - 1970s

The Beatles, The Beach Boys

Funk & Soul

Stevie Wonder, Ben E. King

80s rock

Sweet Child O Mine, Don't Stop Believing

Broadway & Musical favorites

A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman, West Side Story

90s pop

Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Madonna

2000s

Uptown Funk, All About that Bass, Marry You, A Thousand Years

Movie and TV Music

Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones

We love learning new music and expanding our repertoire, so we receive up about 100 requests per season. Our library is always growing so fast that our website can't keep up! As professional musicians, we perform world-class symphonic and chamber music that is incredibly difficult and takes a lot of practice. (Have you ever played Mahler? That stuff is tricky!) So, when couples ask if we can learn a pop song, it's no trouble at all!

If you’re getting married in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, or New York, contact us today about how to incorporate Bridgerton music into your wedding. Below, enjoy these exclusive galleries from our Bridgerton themeed stylized shoot for Allure Bridals.

Until next time,

Lady Ariana Stringington

I'm delighted to share this sweet styled shoot of an elegant elopement that recently took place at the newest Connecticut wedding venue, The Estate in New Haven. This historic gem has a story that spans over two centuries, and we had the privilege of capturing its timeless beauty in a celebration of love and style.

Get to know Connecticut's Newest Wedding Venue:

In 1804, the Townshend family built a manor house on their sprawling farmlands in New Haven, Connecticut. Fast forward to today, and The Estate still stands and welcomes all who step through its doors to celebrate their own love stories.

What sets The Estate apart is its stunning Gothic Revival architecture, which had the art history geek in me on air. The intricate details of this architectural masterpiece include pointed arches on every window and exquisite ornate details - The grand staircase's banister with engraved acorns is breathtaking!

Details That Dazzle

For our styled shoot, Two Printing Girls (who are so much fun!) provided the wedding invitation suite,

signage, and an adorable wedding newspaper, setting the tone for the day. The beautiful bride, none other than The Estate owner's daughter, graced the scene in a bridal gown by Rent the Dress CT and cathedral veil by Lastrina Salons. The overall color palette of pale grey, pastel navy, and light green created an atmosphere of sheer elegance making the cloud and fog of late January feel timeless and romantic.

Shelley led a sweet mini ceremony while I performed wedding ceremony music in a deep navy velvet gown from David's Bridal, perfectly complementing the styled shoot's color scheme. The Cocktail Witch wove her magic, concocting drinks that were as beautiful as they were delicious.

Enchanted Blooms provided eco-friendly reusable silk florals, while JT Ghamo and Bard Clothing partnered to create a dapper look for the groom's tuxedo. Blush and Brush CT gave us the most perfect soft glam look (You'd never know I was getting over a horrible cold from how she brightened up my eyes!) The icing on the cake (and us!) was partnering with Libero Jewelers, a family-owned treasure in North Haven, who adorned the bride and I with sapphires and diamonds, making us feel like royalty.

A special shoutout to Catherine and Oscar for including music in their vision of the styled wedding shoot – a rare and appreciated addition that truly made the experience priceless.

This style shoot reminds me of what I love about the wedding world – it's the support and collaboration within this incredible community.

A special shoutout goes to Meghan of MC Hair Styles and Catherine & Oscar of Cortes Productions, the creative masterminds behind this styled shoot. This collaboration is a shining example of what the wedding industry is all about – coming together, supporting one another, and introducing the world to breathtaking venues like The Estate.

Now, let's take a moment to WOW at this styled wedding shoot. From the Gothic Revival architecture to the dazzling jewels (did you see the rock they gave me?!), every detail came together seamlessly. This, my friends, is the fun of the wedding world, and I'm absolutely here for it!

There's something about a styled photoshoot that can capture the imagination and transport us to another world. One that is full of magic and beauty, with a dash of the unconventional thrown in. That's precisely what Sue Takes Photos accomplished with her latest photoshoot: a couple's romantic wedding at the brand new venue, Station 97 on Main (The old witch hazel factory in Essex, CT.)

The mood of the shoot was moody, dramatic, and editorial, with the bold color pairings of burgundy and navy. The results are stunning, with each photo telling a story and evoking emotions. The bride, with her dark hair, smoky eyes, and dramatic veil, looks like a modern-day Morticia Addams. The groom, with his rugged appearance, is the perfect counterpart to the bride's ethereal beauty. The venue itself, with its brick walls and industrial feel, adds a touch of grit to the elegance of the shoot.

It's hard not to feel a sense of pride and admiration when looking at the photos. The photographer, Sue, and I go way back! We met in high school, playing violin in youth orchestra. She's always been an inspiration to me, both musically and creatively. It was Sue who encouraged me to offer larger ensembles and take Ariana Strings to the next level. Now, to see her photography career flourish, it's truly a thing of beauty.

What I find particularly touching about this shoot is that it celebrates the unconventional. I love an all white wedding, but there’s something so enlivening about variety. Gothic couples often don't get the same recognition or attention as their more mainstream counterparts, but they harness a unique aesthetic that we don’t get to see everyday. Often, these darker palettes are presented as a part of a kitschy theme (like Halloween) and are less palatable and not to be taken seriously.

By showcasing this type of style, Sue is not only showing off her incredible photography skills, but also sending a message of inclusivity and challenging the norm. This shoot shows that beauty that can come from the most unexpected places.
